Juneteenth

Juneteenth Group Show
curated by Upendo

Life. Liberty. Pursuit of Happiness. These are unalienable rights that should be endowed to every human being but often have to be fought to obtained. JUNETEENTH is a celebration of Black stories told from the eyes of Black artists in pursuit of those unalienable rights. Bringing together a roster of artists with a diverse range of styles, including a piece that was painted partially via tap dance… Juneteenth, curated by local Los Angeles artist Upendo, is an eye-opening art show showcasing the some of the top creatives from across the nation. An art show celebrating Black creativity and life strictly from the viewpoint of Black American artists, Juneteenth is a reminder to take time to celebrate a community’s accomplishments even in the midst of the fight for those unalienable rights.  Because representation matters, as well as Black lives.

Join us, Upendo, and the Artists at Ewkuks Gallery for the Opening Day of “Juneteenth Group Show.”  New Works, Canvases, and MORE!

Mandatory properly worn masks/face coverings, social distancing indoors is still required.
